World Class Surfing at Yamba

Yamba is famous it’s world famous surfing breaks. For beginners you don’t have to go any further than the patrolled Main Beach. There’s also Turners Beach to the north. For the experienced surfer there’s the famous Angourie Beach, a National Surfing Reserve, which offers up some world class breaks.


Just Relax & Chill Out

One of the best things about being on holiday is just being able to switch off and relax. Yamba is the perfect place to do just that. Whale Watching

Every year large numbers of Humpback whales migrate past Yamba. They get close to shore where you can see them breaching and having a whale of a time. A better way to see these fantastic marine mammals in their natural habitat is to take an organised whale watching tour.

There’s plenty of fishing available at Yamba. Choose from beach, estuary or rock fishing. There are a number of places you can hire small boats and fishing kayaks. Being next to the beach means that there are loads of fun water activities you can take part in whilst relaxing on your holiday in Yamba. Take a kayaking tour and explore the Clarence Estuary. Discover rich ecosystems and the marine life, including dolphins, unique to the Clarence River.


Coast Walks & National Parks

There a number of National Parks and coastal walks to discover near Yamba. Start the Yuraygir coastal walk at Angourie, past Yamab and beyond. The path stretches for 65km to Red Rock. Try the less strenuous walk up to Yamab Hill. This 3km walk offers some excellent views.
